The Lost Caravans
The Lost Caravans is a mini project which focuses on the spaces, objects and dreams people have left behind. Whilst caravans traditionally represent holidays, freedom and carefree adventures, these abandoned caravans tell a different story.
One of forgotten aspirations, leaving the debris of life behind to decay. Some reveal squalid interiors, whilst others have mementos of happier times, relinquishing tantalizing details of the lives' of the owners, squatters, families and children who spent time in these spaces.
Portraiture is a key focus of my practice, and my intention is for these abandoned caravans to speak loudly of the people who once inhabited them.
